Our excited group of children and staff all arrived safely back in Okehampton on Friday afternoon, with many a tale to tell and stories to share with family and friends. The meticulous planning over many months all paid off. Our first residential to Normandy across our primary schools is the first of two this term – the second to follow in July with the remaining Y6 children from the other half of our schools. We are so delighted to have the grant from The Turing Scheme which has funded every child and adult’s travel, accommodation, 3 meals a day and visits. It has also paid for all the resources to ensure that everyone had everything they needed: blankets for the ferry, art kits, study books and clipboards, spare clothes etc. It has been a phenomenal experience and we can’t wait for the next one in a few weeks time.
Meanwhile, we have applied again to the Turing Scheme for next year! We will know in a few weeks if we have been successful. Watch this space.
