The Festival of Hope sports events for children across the Trust was kicked off by Okehampton College hosting a rounders’ competition for our primary schools.

The event was overseen by Derrick Brett with the day organised by Catlin Scullion of the College’s PE Department.

There were teams of 8-10 Year 3 / 4 children competing in the rounders’ festival in the morning. They were supported by Year 9 teams of the three secondaries who competed in their own festival in the afternoon (2 games each Squads of 10).

Congratulations to Okehampton Primary School who were winners of the primary competition and Holsworthy Community College who won the secondary competition.

The event was kindly sponsored by the Ashbury and Manor Hotel. There were trophies for the winning teams and certificates printed by Tavistock College for all who took part.
