The event showcased the talents and hard work of all our pupils, teachers and peripatetic music teachers. Every class performed a song or instrumental piece, every child who has instrument or singing lessons performed a solo, and the choir rocked the field with an amazing repertoire of songs.
The atmosphere was electric – think Glastonbury meets Glyndebourne – with parents enjoying the sunshine sitting on the field together, joining in with the songs and dancing in the back row. The PTA provided drinks and cream teas, the sun shone, and every pupil produced an outstanding performance.
We currently offer peripatetic lessons in piano, guitar, drums and woodwind and will have spaces available with all teachers in September. We also have a thriving choir of children across the school who meet together every Thursday after school. These extra-curricular activities enhance our strong music provision, with our music lead, Mrs Dunn, teaching and over-seeing weekly music lessons across the school.
A big thank you to everyone who helped, got involved and came along to enjoy the show. Photo credit to Lucy Wilson Photography.
