Can you give a brief overview of your role at the Trust and some information about your career so far?
I work closely with Dan Morrow the Trust Leader and Susanne Kiff the Vice Trust Leader on the strategic direction of the Trust with a focus on identifying areas of development, to reduce risk and advance the Trust through outcomes and reputation.
My area covers Governance, Communications, Complaints Management, Data Protection and anything else that is needed in the present moment!
I have always worked in a support capacity across many sectors including insurance, banking and the cosmetics industry. The last 15 years I have spent in a variety of roles in all types of settings in the education sector which gives me a great perspective from a strategic position.
What do you enjoy most about working for the Trust?
I hate being bored! That doesn’t happen in this role and each day is different. I also get to work with many different people, all who have one goal which is to strive for the best outcomes for everyone in our Trust.
How would you describe your team/ people you work with?
Dedicated, hardworking and inspirational.
What are the main challenges that you face within the sector?
Funding and recruitment for staff and trustees/governors.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
Stop worrying what other people think and go with your gut! You get one shot at life – live it to the full.
