Our new blog series ‘Spotlight on Staff’ has been launched to showcase the great team we have here at Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust. 

We are keen to introduce you to the large team of fantastic staff we have across the Trust and to give you an insight into the work they do as we strive to serve our stakeholders and improve the life chances of the students in our schools.

Susanne Kiff, Deputy Trust Leader joins us as the next guest for Spotlight on Staff

Can you give a brief overview of your role at the Trust and some information about your career so far?

I work closely with Dan Morrow the Trust Leader, overseeing the Trust and the strategic direction we are taking to ensure every child in our family of schools, receives the highest possible quality of education which ensures they are able to succeed. I have (amongst other things) responsibility for all of the operational functions of the Trust, I am able to use my experience from finance and operations managements to support the teams I work with and ensure they deliver a high quality service across all of our schools.

What do you enjoy most about working for the Trust?

I enjoy knowing that everyday whatever I do has a direct impact on the children in our classrooms. That makes every day rewarding.

How would you describe your team/ people you work with?

Every member of our Trust family of staff are inspirational, hardworking, dedicated and compassionate.

What are the main challenges that you face within the sector?

Funding and rising costs.

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

Everything happens for a reason, it may not be clear at the time, but it will become clear with time.
