On Thursday 1st of December, Tavistock College saw 25 runners from across all year groups travel to Camelford for the latest round of the East Cornwall Cross Country league at Sir James Smith’s School.
*FANTASTIC* is the only word that can be used to describe the afternoon’s events. The team secured gold in every race and a total of 13 podium finishes. All runners had excellent races; cross country has a team element within each race, as a school we have some really strong year groups, but in particular the junior girls team (Y8 & 9) continued to show they are one of the strongest in Devon and Cornwall by taking all 3 podium positions – well raced ladies.
Well done to all runners, next up, the schools have 20 runners competing at the Devon Schools Cross Country Championships in January.
